We place Jesus Christ at the center of the educational process

We want all our students to be true disciples of Christ, living lives of truth and holiness.

Saint Mary’s teaches the fullness of the faith with complete fidelity to the Church and is faithful to the Magisterium in its educational approach, faith formation, and pursuit of virtue.  The worship of God is central to all aspects of student life and activity at Saint Mary’s. We place Jesus Christ at the center of the educational process. We put great importance in the spiritual development of our students. This happens through moral, liturgical, and intellectual formation, both inside and outside the classroom. All baptized Christians are called to a life of discipleship and obedience, and we are creating an atmosphere that fosters these, helping students fulfill their vocation to holiness.

The goal of our Theology classes, retreats, campus ministry, and other activities is to make sure that our students realize that they are invited into a relationship with God, and given the opportunity to respond and grow within that relationship.  We want all our students to be true disciples of Christ, living lives of truth and holiness.

The Holy Eucharist is the source and summit

Mass is celebrated daily in the school chapel at 7:15 a.m., during lunch on school days, and at least monthly with the entire student body in the gym. All members of the school community are invited to join us for Mass. We have morning prayer every day and later pray the Examen and the Angelus after lunch. There is also a yearly Eucharistic procession through campus concluding with all school adoration in the gymnasium.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered every day during lunch. In addition, on the first Friday of each month students have the opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed in the chapel from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and is open to the community.

In addition to the monthly opportunities for reconciliation, there is a schoolwide reconciliation service during Advent and Lent. Students are encouraged to seek a priest for the Sacrament of Reconciliation as often as needed outside of the regularly scheduled confession times.

Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist

The Sisters have gratefully shared their Dominican tradition of educating and forming young people in virtue and in the faith at Saint Mary’s Catholic High School since 2006.

The Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist is a Roman Catholic community of women religious that was established in 1997 and is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The community was founded in the Dominican tradition to spread the witness of religious life in accord with Pope John Paul II’s vision for a new evangelization.

Campus Ministry

While attending St. Mary’s, students will be given ample opportunities to participate in retreats, mission trips, pilgrimages, discipleship groups, and Christian service. By immersing themselves in Campus Ministry, students are answering their baptismal call to participate fully and actively in their Christian faith.

The purpose of Campus Ministry is to commit ourselves to the spiritual development of the young men and women who enter Saint Mary’s. It is our goal to create an environment that compels our students to continue practicing their faith in a way that is genuine upon graduating.

We invite all students to stop by the Campus Ministry office and introduce themselves, as well as to participate in any of the events that we offer.
