Apply to Saint Mary’s
For one hundred years, parents like you have trusted Saint Mary’s to form their children in the Catholic intellectual and faith traditions. We are honored that you are considering our school.
Step 1) Fill out Saint Mary’s online application by January 31, 2020.Online applications will be made available by October 10th. All submissions are due by January 31, 2020.
Step 2) Print part 2 of your application (this includes the Transcript Request, Principal Recommendation, and Teacher Recommendations packet) found below. Deliver this to your Grade School Administrator to be returned, by the Grade School, to Saint Mary’s Catholic High School by January 27th, 2020.
Step 3) If you have not already done so, sign up for a Knight for a Day Shadow Program to see what a normal school day at Saint Mary’s looks like. (Optional)
Step 4) Sign up for our High School Placement Test Course.
The High School Placement Test Prep class will prepare students for the entrance exam in January. The class will focus on Math and English, taught in two hour sessions with a fifteen minute break in-between.

HSPT Prep Class – December 7, 2019 from 8 am – 12:15 pm; sign in begins at 7:30 am, class begins at 8 am.
HSPT Prep Class – December 14, 2019 from 8 am – 12:15 pm; sign in begins at 7:30 am, class begins at 8 am.
The class costs $30/student for one or $50/student for two.
Step 5) Sign up for the High School Placement Test (HSPT) taking place on January 11 and January 25.
The two High School Placement Tests (H.S.P.T.) will be proctored at St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Piper Hall on January 11, 2020, and January 25, 2020. Check-in will begin at 7:30am; the test will begin promptly at 8:00am and will end around 11:20am. The H.S.P.T. will cover Language Arts, Math and Catholic Religion. The cost of the test is $50. You may pay either online prior to the class or in person on the day of your class (cash or credit card only). **Students only need to take the HSPT once, at any one of the six Catholic high schools in Phoenix**
High School Placement Test (H.S.P.T.)
The High School Placement Test is part of the application process.
January 11th & 25th, 2020 8:00 am – 11:00 am
The cost of the test is $50.
Check in begins at 7:30 am in Piper Lobby.
The test begins promptly at 8:00 am.
Step 6) Student Interviews will be scheduled once your student’s application is complete. Applicants will be notified of Saint Mary’s admission decision by mail in February.
Transfer students are accepted when space is available. In order for prospective students to transfer the following information will need to be submitted to the Admissions Office: application for admission, unofficial school transcript and recommendation form from the principal, a counselor, or school administrator
